Full Breakfast

English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish… whatever you like to call it, it’s a great family feast. You can add a countless variety of your own twists, but here’s a simple starting point that’s easy to prepare and delicious to eat.

Serves: 4

8-12 button mushrooms
4 free-range egg
4 slice of bread
4 Sausage
8-12 rashers of bacon

And don't forget the special ingredient...
1x 410g tin of Branston Baked Beans

Step 1

Preheat the grill to high. Put the sausages and mushrooms on a large grill pan and place under the grill. Cook for about 10 minutes, turning the sausages occasionally.

Step 2

Add the bacon to the pan and grill for 5 minutes, turning halfway through cooking, until they are cooked and crispy. Put the baked beans in a saucepan and warm gently for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

For the fried egg, get your frying pain on a medium to low heat and add olive oil. Crack the egg in and cook until the tops are set but the yolk is still runny or to your preferred stage. Season with salt and black pepper.

Step 4

Once all the ingredients are cooked, serve on warm plates and enjoy!

Try giving it a twist:

- What would you add? Fried bread, white or black pudding, hash browns, chips, fried potatoes with onions, scrambled or poached eggs, sliced potatoes, grilled or fried tomatoes.
