Branston Beany Meatballs


Branston Beany Meatballs

A comforting warmer for a cosy family meal together! Once you try this you won’t look back!

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 4-6

350g minced beef
350g minced pork
black pepper
1 handful fresh breadcrumbs
1 tbs fresh flat leaf parsley, chopped
1 egg
2 tbs milk
2 tsp vegetable or light olive oil
For the sauce
1 tsp olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
200g cherry tomatoes, halved
pinch dried oregano
pinch dried chilli flakes, optional

And don't forget the special ingredient...
2x 410g tins of Branston Baked Beans

Step 1

Place the beef and pork mince in a large bowl with the pepper, breadcrumbs and parsley

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the egg and milk with a fork then add to the meat. Using your clean hands, mix the ingredients together thoroughly, then shape into balls

Step 3

Fry the meatballs gently in 2 teaspoons of oil in a large frying pan, turning frequently

Step 4

Meanwhile, drizzle a little oil into a medium saucepan and cook the onion, oregano and chilli flakes over a medium heat for a few minutes. Add the tomatoes and cook for a further 2 minutes. Stir in the Branston Baked Beans and warm through

Step 5

Check the meatballs are completely cooked through, then add to the beans in the pan. Sprinkle over the parsley and serve with mashed potato
