Branston Beans With Egg and Chips

Branston Beans With Egg and Chips

One of life’s simplest pleasures, this easy egg and chips recipe is always appreciated. Serve it for dinner or as a comforting lunch.

Serves: 4

800g floury potatoes such as King Edward or Maris Piper
1 free-range egg
A splash of oil
Black pepper, to taste

And don't forget the special ingredient...
2x 410g tins of Branston Baked Beans

Step 1

Peel and cut the potatoes into medium-thick chips. Spread them in a roasting tin, drizzle with olive oil and roast in a pre-heated oven (220C/Gas 7/Fan 22C) for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.

Step 2

When ready toss them with salt.

Step 3

10 minutes before your chips will be finished, pour the Branston Baked Beans into a pot and put on a medium heat.

Step 4

After 5 minutes, fry the eggs to your liking in a little oil in a frying pan.

Step 5

Serve everything on a plate, adding a twist of black pepper over your fried egg.

Try giving it a twist:

-Try chopping up some sweet potatoes, drizzling with oil, and grilling for about 20 minutes, for more nutritious chips with a slightly different flavor.

-Don’t forget the buttered bread for the ultimate chip sandwich!

-Make curry flavour chips by adding ginger powder and cumin!
